About Warriors Pub Olympics

Are you excited for the Rio Olympics 2016 starting this Friday, Aug 5th? So are we! In honor of the games, Warriors Tavern will hold its own Pub Olympics from Aug. 5th to Aug. 21st. Check out some of the features below.

10% of every tab

From Aug 5th-21st, the Tavern will donate 10% of every tab to one of the charities listed below.

50% of proceeds

During the Olympics, 50% of all proceeds from the special menu will go to the organizations below.

100% of proceeds

On game nights, 100% of all proceeds from the special menu will go to the organizations below.

Choose a charity

Before you pay your tab, you'll be able to choose to which charity to donate, by selecting one of the Teams in play. (See: Charities, Team Leaders)

Special Menu

The staff took great care in devising a menu worthy of Olympians. Items will be available for the duration of the games and proceeds will be directed to charity.

Games every night

Though official Pub Olympics games will happen once a week, all games will be available to patrons to enjoy every night for the duration of the Olympics.

Support the local community

Just by having a drink at Warriors Tavern from August 5th to August 21st, you'll be supporting one of these local organizations. Upon paying your tab, please choose which Team Leader and, consequently, to which of these organizations 10% of your tab will go. 50% of all proceeds from our special Olympics offers go straight to charity.

Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons provides children up to the age of 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with everyday essential items needed for success at home, at school and at play. Every year Cradles distributes 29,000 kidpacks and 30,000 backpacks to local Boston kids in need. Find out more at cradlestocrayons.org

Steppingstone Foundation

The Steppingstone Foundation, founded in 1990, provides free college access programs to underserved students and families who face serious obstacles but dream of college for their children. Steppingstone provides education opportunities, with rigorous programs with effective preparation and support for a better future. Steppingstone serves 1,600 Scholars each year. Animal Rescue League of Boston

The Animal Rescue League of Boston is an animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing domesticated animals and all living beings from abuse, cruelty, abandonment, exploitation and neglect. Their mission is carried out through rescue and veterinary services and three shelters. Last year over 13,300 animas received care and assistance through ARL. Find out more at arlboston.org

Boston Burn Foundation

The Boston Burn Foundation is a not-for profit dedicated to ease the suffering and hardships of burn victims and their families – it is comprised of volunteers and off duty Boston Firefighters. Join the games, become a warrior

Think you got it in you to drive your team to victory? Volunteer to be a warrior and compete in the Pub Olympics official games! Games will happen once a week from August 5th-21st. You don't need experience, all you need is gumption, commitment and keen sportsmanship. Team Leaders are responsible for assembling their warriors, so check out your options in teams below. Every warrior will get a "medal of honor" for their dedication. Medals of honor are surprise prizes chosen by the Team Leaders and may be given out throughout the month.

Team Leaders

Warriors Tavern's staff has stepped up to the challenge. Below you'll find the team leaders. Each team leader is an employee at the Tavern. Before paying your tab, you'll be able to choose to which team to direct your donation. The power is in your hands. Team Leaders have the role to charm, engage and win over your vote for their team. A tally of the donations to each team will be kept behind the counter and updated once or twice daily. So who wins? Everyone. No matter who you choose, you'll be helping the community by simply enjoying a drink. That doesn't mean make it easy for them. Make them work for your vote. Who doesn't love a little friendly competition?
